Friends of Estabrook Park
The Friends of Estabrook Park Annual Meeting is Wednesday, January 22, from 7 to 9 at the Blatz Pavilion in Lincoln Park. There will be food, beverages, door prizes, a video display of Estabrook fauna by Andrew Dressel, and a presentation by Beth Wentzel of MMSD on the plan for the fish passage through Estabrook Falls. We encourage all members to attend.
We are the Friends of Estabrook Park (FOE), one of the Friends Groups of Milwaukee County Parks.
We participate mainly in weedouts (removal of invasive plants), river cleanups,
garden construction and maintenance, and trail maintenance.
Our members lead bird and nature hikes for the community.
We cooperate with the Milwaukee Historical Society in maintaining historic buildings in the park,
and support the dog park, the disc golf course and the beer garden.
Mainly, we are advocates for the park, its natural areas, and its recreational facilities.
Our mission statement is:……
“To protect the environment and enhance the quality of Estabrook Park”
